Dr. Leslie Hewitt, CCA President

CCA CARES! We are on a mission to promote healthcare through the advancement of chiropractic. One of the many ways we can achieve this mission is to have unprecedented success in the legislative arena.

Let’s Vote Together…Vote Chiropractic!

I am pleased to present you the 2016 California Chiropractic Association General Election Official Voter Information Guide. We created this voter guide to assist you in voting wisely for your profession and increasing our political influence.

The candidates listed herein have been endorsed by their local CCA chiropractic district. Endorsements are based on the candidates’ interest in health policy, support toward chiropractic and their ability to win.

Did you know that this is one of the most important election cycles in recent history? We will have many new legislators that will be in office and it is essential that we elect those who are educated about and support chiropractic.

With our votes, we have the power to change a fundamental paradigm in the legislature: the lack of state legislators who are educated about and are pro-chiropractic. As you know, too often legislators have made decisions for our profession that have negatively impacted us and our patients. Many of these decisions have been based in lack of knowledge about chiropractic scope of practice and chiropractic cost-effectiveness.

CCA will continue to educate legislators and policymakers through concerted strategic efforts. However, our best opportunity to actually shift this paradigm is getting pro-chiropractic legislators elected.

I am personally calling you all to action! When you cast your vote, I ask you to temporarily put aside your party affiliation and place the future of our profession first.

Let’s shift that paradigm and be the change…together.
